Our home is in one of the few remaining sugar cane camp communities, located on the beautiful hamakua coast, on the big island of Hawaii, in Hawaii county. This is the sunrise side of the island, you can see the sunrise from many windows of the home. With all the dynamic weather in this tropical Paradise this is the most beautiful, temperate, cost efficient and safest zone on Hawaii Island. When you cross reference all the different kinds of maps, this location is wonderful. The neighborhood is quaint and friendly with lots of supporting neighbors. You can hear the waterfall rushing just a couple hundred yards away.
