    What's special

If you've been trying to hit that hard-to-find sweet spot of "around $200,000" in Fondren, look no further. This house is a real cream puff and you can walk to all things Fondren: coffee, restaurants, P.O, grocery, UMMC. Lovingly maintained with some really neat features. Walk up the brick inlay sidewalk and notice the scored and stained front porch landing. Enter and you will immediately notice the beautiful wood floors and natural light. To the right is a spacious living room with fireplace (converted to gas log but originally wood burning). You can go straight through to the fabulous deck out back...but wait, to your right is a super sun porch filled with light and plenty of space for TV, games, reading or napping. You will have lots of options to "get to a quiet space" in this house! The dining room is between the kitchen and living room, perfect for entertaining. The kitchen was updated a few years back with ceramic tile floors, granite tile counters and a bar area with a butcher block counter. You can also get to the deck from the kitchen. But wait, there is also a bedroom downstairs, I guess intended to be the master as it has its own bath. The sellers really like the bigger room upstairs that has a big walk-in closet and a neat little nook for reading. Upstairs there is also a large landing, 2 extra closets and a second bedroom that has a built-in desk and bookcase. If you need more space for a bigger bed, this could certainly be done. But off in the corner is a cool chair that converts to a twin bed! The upstairs bath has a double vanity and the washer/dryer is tucked away here, too. Did I mention the house has crown molding throughout? It also has the most closet space I've ever seen in a 1940s house. All the windows have storm windows for energy efficiency, too. New roof installed in July. Exterior and interior recently painted. This house is easy to move into. If you're not convinced yet, wait til you see the yard, deck and entertainment house out back! Beautifully landscaped and private back yard features a multi-level deck, brick courtyard and a really cool "little house" perfect for entertaining, hobbies or just hanging out. It is heated and cooled, too. Better call your REALTOR for an appointment. This one probably won't be around long.
