Each corner and archway is a work of art, and the hand-stripping retains the individual visual character each log developed over its lifetime and the decades it spent seasoning naturally as standing-dead timber.*Soaring windows in the great room face East, capturing morning sun and framing incomparable year-round views, with 200-year-old Spruces in the foreground and the Redstone Cliffs across the river. A quilt of Spruces, Aspen and Scrub Oak leads up to the cliffs, offering a subtle range of greens in summer, augmented with gold and rust in autumn, and a delicate frosting of snow on the trusty deep green Spruces that stay with us all winter. The cliffs themselves emit a warm red tone that changes throughout the day, and in late Spring the "Three Sisters" waterfalls cascade down the cliffs directly in the center of the view.
