    Federal Style Farm House built 1856. One of the first homes in the Hamlet in the Town of Ulysses. This home was constructed with care by the original family using local wood, including pine and chestnut and hand tools, revealing Early American interior trim and door details. This home has historic designation, and received an award of recognition from Historic Ithaca in 1987 for its rehabilitation . Detailed with braids and tassels on the freese board of the eaves and an ornate front entry, full two story house, stand up attic and a full basement. Hot water : new 40 gallon electric hot water heater. Stand up Attic revealing post and beam framing of the building, and has blown in cellulose insulation. The attic allows new owner to see original post and beam framing construction details. The roof is fiberglass Architectural shingles . Aluminum gutters on both sides of house. Kitchen is functional with near original built in cabinets, laminate counter tops, electric range , dishwasher, and recent refrigerator. Staircase hallway leading from front door to living spaces. Dining room has wide pine floors. Living room and parlor room have hardwood oak floors. Downstairs half bath is easily adaptable to a full bath with shower. The second floor full bathroom is fully functional. 4 separate bedrooms on the second floor with 8ft ceiling height.
