This camp needs some work but it's in a very nice location overlooking Lake Champlain's South Bay with fabulous mountain views beyond. Walk to the NYS DEC South Bay Public Boat Launch Facility and 300 foot long fishing pier for some of the best fishing in the northeast. Channel Cats were added to the Lake Champlain International Fishing Derby in the 1990's and are native to Lake Champlain. ''South Bay of Lake Champlain has traditionally offered anglers outstanding opportunities for catching popular sport fish species such as northern pike, large mouth bass and chain pickerel. Yellow perch, white perch, crappies, sunfish, brown bullhead and catfish are also common'' (Lake Champlain International).
