For rent is a recently renovated 1 bedroom apartment in a fantastic location right on the border of Dormont & Mt. Lebanon. The apartment is pet friendly and available to rent on immediately. It is an awesome apartment that looks like it should be featured on HGTV or a home decor magazine. Absolutely amazing kitchen and living room - be sure to check out the pics. It is right across the street from the Dormont Junction T stop and easy walking distance to all of the bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities in both Dormont and uptown Mt. Lebanon. The renovations I did to this apartment include a new kitchen with very stylish black cabinets, oversized subway tile backspash, stainless appliances including a side by side fridge, full size oven, a dishwasher and a disposal. The living room has a wall mount plasma tv stand, gleaming hardwood floors, high ceilings, and crown molding. The rent is $675 per month plus electric. Heat is included with the rent - so no surprise $200 gas bills in the winter. Just to be upfront - this apartment doesn't get a ton of natural light. It abuts the building next door and while there is a bump in with 3 windows - it does stay a bit on the darker side. On the plus side it is very private. The 5 questions I get the most about the apartment are as follows: 1) How big is it? To be completely upfront with you - the apartment is a little on the small side. The bedroom is 13 x 9 but does have a large closet with double bi-fold doors, so lots of hanging space for clothes. You can fit a queen size bed, night stand and chest of drawers in there. The living room is 14 x 12. So there is room for a full size couch, small chair, TV, coffee table - and that's about it. This place is perfect for someone that wants something very clean, stylish, and trendy - and doesn't mind sacrificing a bit on the space to get it. 2) Is there laundry onside? The laundry situation - although there isn't onsite laundry, there is a laundry mat 2 doors down from the building. So even though it isn't onsite, it is just about as close as you can get. Plus, being a laundry mat - they have many more washers and dryers then I could put at an onsite facility so no down time waiting for one of the other tenants to get their stuff out. 3) Is there off street parking? For parking, the building is right on W. Liberty avenue so there is no offstreet parking. But just down the street is a Dormont Municipal parking lot that is metered with 40 parking spaces. Or there is on street parking about a block from the building. The onstreet parking requires a permit that you can only get if you are a resident of Dormont - and it is only a $15 annual fee to get the permit. So if you don't mind walking a block or so - parking is always available since non residents can't park on the street for over an hour. 4) Do you allow pets? Yes I do. Pets are ok for additional $15/mth in rent and extra $75 non refundable security deposit for professional cleaning. 5) Do you charge an application fee? Yes, I have a $15 fee for an application that covers the cost of a credit check. I am having an open house for the apartment this Wednesday (3/4/2020) from 4 pm to 6 pm. Just to be upfront with you - it has been a long time since one of my apartments hasn't rented very quickly. The place is most likely going to be the nicest and most updated of anything that you have looked at - that is why they rent so quickly.
