Originally an 1860's Victorian mansion situated on a 200 acre farm (dating back to the late 1700's), the main house was remodeled in 1912 as a Colonial Revival. The owners at that time were the largest producers of velvet in the world, and the now demolished factory was situated nearby on the historic Blackstone River. The house was given a refurbishment in 1982, and again in 2017. There are also several outbuildings, including a barn, carriage house, greenhouse, and ice house, along with several acres of formal gardens, ancient forest, and 200 year-old trees.
