    What's special

Welcome to 32 Sherwood Drive in Freeport, an unfurnished, 4,500 sq. ft, 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home that is available for a year lease starting June 1, 2021. It is a lovely balance of both living in a quiet community with nature trails and shared dock access, but also 15 minutes to downtown Portland and only a few miles to Freeport Village, where heralded outlet shops and restaurants are plentiful. It is ideal for a family looking to experience living in Maine throughout all of the glorious seasons. MAIN LEVEL: Upon entering the home, there is a large mudroom with cubbies and storage for all the boots, coats and backpacks that need a place of their own. From there, the ample kitchen invites you to imagine pancake breakfasts at the quartz bar that seats four and dinners cooked on the professional-favorite Vulcan range. The kitchen has custom cabinetry, stainless appliances and a large pantry with an additional refrigerator and counter for party prepping. The dining room is open to the kitchen with plenty of space for a large dining table. The living area is a remarkable space with cathedral ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. A large solarium accessed by two sliding glass doors off of the living room spans the front of the home, allowing you to feel like you are encased in nature. From dawn to dusk, natural light filters in and it is a sanctuary for yoga, working and napping. There is access to a porch that extends the width of the house with a grill and dining table. The main level also has a room that may function as a home office, but can easily be converted to a first-floor primary suite. It has a full bathroom, walk-in closet and deck access. Adding to the open feel, the staircase has wood and metal railings and the upstairs hall overlooks the great room. SECOND LEVEL: This level has three spacious bedrooms with hardwood floors. Two of the rooms are connected by a Jack-and Jill full bathroom with a double vanity, so there's room for everyone to get ready in the morning. There is an additional stand-alone full bathroom at the end of the hall and the third bedroom has a large closet and private bathroom with standup shower. THIRD LEVEL: The third level of the home is a sprawling primary suite. With an enclosed staircase entrance and brand new floors (if you watch the video, the rug had not been replaced during filming) this is a private retreat for adults. The sleeping area has room for a king bed and behind is a giant walk-through closet with built-in storage that spans the width of the room. The spacious spa-bathroom is tiled with cream and gold, there is a soaking tub, separate stand-up shower and double vanity. The most striking aspect of this suite is the solarium built over the one of the first floor. With several windows including a large picture window overlooking the yard and trees, this is a sanctuary for meditating, reading and watching the abundance of birds fly by. For those to wish to feel like they are sleeping in a snow globe, there is a double Murphy bed as well. OUTDOOR: According to the owners, the oversized garage can fit up to four cars (double parked) and a boat. Perfect for entertaining, there is a rolling grassy yard and large stone fire pit. The association has a shared dock, river access and access to nature trails. This home is a few miles from the shops and restaurants in Freeport Village and 15-minutes to downtown Portland. Tenants are responsible for all utilities. Amenities: Gourmet Kitchen: Custom Cabinetry Quartz Counters Large island Vulcan Range Large walk-in pantry with additional refrigerator Amenities throughout the property: Location Garage and Driveway Hardwood and tile floors Large deck to enjoy views, sun and meals Association Dock Nature trails
