Visitors can picnic and camp here.  At 10,000 feet high, Grand Mesa is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world! Lush spruce forests and 200 stream-fed lakes provide fantastic hunting and fishing. Boating, hiking and camping are popular activities in this secluded backcountry paradise. In autumn, kaleidoscopic colors create spectacular photography opportunities.  Downtown Grand Junction is a huge attraction for visitors because of its unique charm. Visit boutiques, restaurants, galleries, antique furniture stores and coffee shops. "Art on the Corner" is an outdoor sculpture exhibit in the award-winning Downtown Shopping Park where sculptors loan their work free of charge for one year.
