In addition to gorgeous mountain and valley views and a fun, relaxing drive in the country, you get a cottage that is self-contained, detached, fully-furnished, brightly lit with 7 double-glazed windows each equipped with 2" wide blinds throughout in the quiet countryside in Sandy Mush with 500 Sq Ft of liveable space, plus a large attached wooden deck (approximately 26 X 7Ft) with outdoor furniture. Great fiber optic internet for working from home. The cottage is situated near a dead-end road (therefore there is hardly any traffic), all surrounded by 360 degree mountain and valley views with a few hens on the property and no rooster. Nearby, you may encounter some horses, cows, donkeys, ducks, goats (Yes, it's reminiscent of Noah's ark). People are friendly in the neighborhood, but do keep to themselves. There is a bedroom behind a nice sliding barn-door with a very comfortable queen-sized bed that boasts closed storage compartments underneath, a work desk with a worklight and a chair. This is separated by sliding doors from a large closet space that contains lots of shelving and hanging space for clothes as well as both the washer and dryer (both full-sized) and a wall-mounted small safe. The main living room is spacious and gives directly on to the kitchen and the bathroom (door to the bathroom, of course). Even though there is a bathtub, we specifically recommend that you not use it for actual baths. Since we are all on a well and a septic tank, only short showers are encouraged. Buncombe county was in a drought recently, we MUST all be extremely frugal and careful of our water consumption. All appliances are clean and in great shape, include a full-sized, stainless steel Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, a four-burner Frigidaire brand electric range/oven, a Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher, a small microwave oven with turntable, an electric coffee grinder, two-slice toaster and front-load full-sized LG washer and dryer. Kitchen is equipped with a full complement of cutlery, dishes, pots/pans. Everything is stored neatly in lovely pine cabinets. The kitchen is well lit both with natural and nice track lighting. There are ceiling fans with lights in both the living room and the bedroom, as well as a portable fan. Also, you will find a fire extinguisher in the living-room and an emergency flashlight that comes on automatically in case of a rare power failure - fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector of course. Breakfast area by the window with a nice view on the mountain and a comfortable couch and Ottoman in the living room. Outside, the automatic lighting will come on at night to show the parking lot and walkway to the door. The only (Wi-Fi connected and solar-powered) automatic security camera is trained on the front door outside. We will not allow it to be disabled, obscured or moved, for your security as well as ours. We live on the property within easy reach if there should be any issue. Your dependable transportation is required. There is off-street parking adjacent to the cottage. Rent includes MANY EXTRAS, including running well water, wi-fi & fiber-speed internet (25Mbps U/L speeds), an ONN Smart TV with Roku, and an under-counter entertainment system with bluetooth connectivity in the kitchen, weekly trash service and bi-monthly recycling service are all included at no extra charge. The renter will be responsible for their Electricity usage as well as the taxes from French Board Electric co, averaging $30 per month for the last year. There is a new energy saving Mitsubishi mini-split for heating and cooling and there is an emergency propane heater vented to the outdoors. This furnished, self-contained 500 sq ft cottage, situated in the hills of Sandy Mush, merely 30 mins from Asheville, NC is available to a single adult only. The monthly rental fee of $1450.00 is All inclusive for the fully furnished cottage *except* for electricity and taxes for electricity which is an additional fee to be paid monthly upon presentation of electric company's monthly invoice for the cottage. Before move-in the First month's, last month's rent and one month's security deposit must be paid. If you're looking for a peaceful, serene, country environment to call home, then this would be one of the better spots you're likely to fine. This is country living; parties and loud music are not permitted, neither are engine revving or working on cars on the property. Overnight guest beyond 4 nights are not permitted except by prior arrangement. No subletting permitted. No smoking, vaping, burning of incense or candles, other strong scents indoors. If you must smoke, do so outside, and please dispose properly of your castoffs. *Important* We're all drawing water off a well. Because of that, it's a must to conserve water mindfully. No Pets of ANY kind, even overnight. Maintenance/inspection will be required approximately every 3 months.
