Unique English basement studio apartment in red brick Georgetown townhouse, private entrance. Located on beautiful tree lined street in heart of Georgetown. The apartment is not large, but has a lot of charm. It is about 2 steps down from the sidewalk level. The floor is wooden and a marvelous old rough hewn grey stone wall runs somewhere from half to two-thirds the length of the apartment. The remaining walls are brick or drywall, both painted white. As you enter, there is an area which can be used as a living room (just a suggestion), it is approximately 12' x 12' and has a small built in bookcase. This is followed by a kitchenette with marble countertop with counter for 2 stools. The kitchenette has a convection oven/microwave, a half refrigerator and sink. Beyond that is a small area large enough for a bed. Basic furniture is provided (e.g. couch, small desk, bed...). The bathroom has cobalt blue and white tile with a full size shower. That comprises the apartment, but there is a door that leads to a separate laundry room with white tiled floor and small skylight. This laundry room is shared with the 4 tenants who live in the remainder of the townhouse. The studio is independent from the rest of the house except to share the laundry room. Upstairs tenants have own entry to laundry room. Owner pays water, gas, electricity, wifi. No smoking. No pets. Parking is on street. Laundry room is adjacent to apartment.
