    We're looking for a renter for a lovely, bright and spacious basement apartment in the heart of the popular Montavilla neighborhood. You have the best of Portland at your fingertips: multiple cafes and restaurants, bars from dive to upscale, many ethnic dining options, a yoga studio, the Academy movie theater, the Montavilla farmers market, and cute boutiques and antique shops are all within walking distance. The Portland airport is just a 15 minute drive away. You also have easy access (5 minute walk) to public transportation that will take you into downtown Portland in 15-20 minutes. We are close to 205, making it easy to get out of town for trips into the Gorge. The apartment is bright, clean, and spacious. It has a fully equipped kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, convection oven/microwave, fridge, and sink. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub. The bedroom has two large closets with great storage. You also have access to a shared washer/dryer. The apartment has a private entrance and plenty of street parking. Our house has a sunny backyard with a covered porch area and deck with fire place, blueberry, raspberry, and marionberry bushes, a magnificent fig tree, and nine raised planter boxes that typically grow strawberries, onions, rhubarb, leeks, pumpkins, tomatoes, potatoes, kale and more. If you are a gardener, then we're happy to share the space. We live in the main part of the house. Rent includes all utilities and basic wifi. We are looking for a quiet, friendly, and responsible person to share our home. Bonus if you are into gardening or permaculture. Non-smoker. No pets please. Please note that the apartment is *not furnished*. Rent includes all utilities (water, gas, electricity, trash) and wifi. Last month's rent ($1400) is due on the date the lease is signed. Security deposit ($1400) is due on the move-in date. Background check required.
