This House Story - This sweet home was built sometime in the late 19th century. It is filled with original architectural details and has been lovingly maintained through the decades. During the Great Depression my grandparents bought this house, yes I am the listing agent and an owner of this home. The home has remained in the family all of these years. It has been our homestead and holds many memories. Before we purchased the home it had been used as a rooming house, the locks are all still in place, we never removed them. Old school elegance prevails. Many walls are covered with pressed leather. Marble mantles accent the living and formal dining rooms. Upstairs a skylight once flooded the formal entry with light; if I moved in I would restore this feature. There are three bedrooms, two very good sized but one does not have a closet, nowadays it would make a sweet nursery, home office or walk in closet. Years ago it was my mother's girlhood bedroom. My two aunts and my uncle were also raised in this home by my Italian immigrant grandparents. My uncle became went to lay school and later became a judge. My sister and I also lived here in our teens, for a time my sister resided in the home with her two young children; we hold many joyous memories of our lives here. I remember spending hours on end in the backyard as a young girl, just letting my imagination just wander; today it is a blank slate - a large fenced yard ready for your person touch.
