Come see the Corwin House, a Queen Anne Victorian, built by Frederick Sutton in 1900. Mr. Sutton was a developer and a Marine Bank Director who died on the Titanic. He built a number of these homes throughout the Wildwoods at that time. This was the summer home of Elizabeth, NJ accountant, John Corwin. It was purchased in 1938 by Michael and Elizabeth Ciampi of Philadelphia at which time Michael converted it into a rooming house. The house was passed down from their children to their grandchildren. In the 1940's, the turret caught fire but it was extinguished before the fire spread. A flat roof was installed after the fire and the turret was replaced by the Ciampi's grandchildren in 2008.
