On or before the move in date, the full rent is due. If the move in date is not on the first of the month, the prorated amount of the rent is due on the move in date. For instance, if the rent is $1200 per month and the move in date is the 15th of the month, half of the rent is due, which is $600. 12. WHO PAYS FOR UTILITIES? On a regular single family rental home, the tenant is responsible for all utilities and lawn care. 13. HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT? The deposit is usually the same amount as the rent and is due at the time of signing the lease.
