As a couple, our two-bedroom home with hardwood floors throughout has been a great refuge in recent years, offering all the benefits of city living with the space and the land to stretch our legs, grow our own food, host bonfires, and relax in the fenced back yard. When we moved in 3 years ago, the space needed a bunch of work. But we spent the last 24 months fixing it up. We remodeled the kitchen in a dramatic style, featuring all new appliances, a garbage disposal, a gas range, and storied black cabinets. Later, we updated the bathroom, adding modern 2" hexagon tile on the floor (feels great on your feet) and framing the walls with easy-to-clean board and baton. Most recently, we fenced in the front and backyards and replaced the roof. In February, the camellia trees in the backyard will ignite in vivid fuchsia pink. By June, the poppies and tulips will sprout in the front, followed by the roses and hydrangeas that will bloom all summer long. As summer turns to winter, we count on our 10+ windows (+ the garden box in the kitchen) to keep the house brightly lit and the darkness at bay. The very same windows are double-paned so they keep the cold out as well! Although we're no longer living there, we absolutely love this space. Our home is walkable to Freemont, which features many restaurants, fantastic coffee, beer pubs, and a grocery store. Sandy Blvd. has tons of restaurants also, including the best Teriyaki restaurant in the whole city. Drive to Whole Foods and the Hollywood Theater in 4 minutes, flat. The local schools are Alameda Elementary, Beaumont Middle School, and Grant High School. We would love to share this space with a thoughtful, considerate tenant. Rent includes garbage, recycling, and a twice-monthly gardener to mow the lawn and keep the weeds down. Interested? Please email to arrange a showing. A one-year lease preferred but open to a longer term. Credit check, damage deposit, and good references are required. No pets, please. House available starting March 1st. Renter pays all utilities. Owner pays garbage, recycling, and a twice-monthly Gardner/lawn maintenance service.
