Requirements Great credit is always desirable, but a one or two year rental agreement isn't a thirty year mortgage. I prefer to realistically assess credit, and a good renter can be someone seeking to rebuild their credit. As an example, a recent bankruptcy is not a disqualifier. Rather, I see it as a fresh start. Please note, a clean rental history is a requirement. I will not rent a home to someone who has had issues with prior landlords.
