I first used the colony only in the summers to get out of Manhattan's heat and enjoy some fresh air. Woodbourne Action Committe is the "year around" folk and the actual town of Woodbourne is the hub of the Orthodox Jewish peoples in summer. June- Aug. Fishing is great in the Neversink River. Bald Eagles nest there too. Full of wildlife including I have seen: deer, rabbits, foxes, owls, halks, phesent, bear, bobcat, racoons, skunk, bats, great snow owl, blue egrets, coyates, mink, turkey, martin, bluebirds, all types of songbirds and hummingbirds.
