Be close to skiing without paying the high 'Windham zip code' rent. On the huge elevated 32 ft. x 24 ft. deck snuggle up on the outdoor furniture and enjoy the warmth from the propane fire pit as you gaze at the mountains and star lit sky. Our house is located 1700 feet above sea level, thus providing outstanding mountain top views and spectacular light pollution free night viewing of the stars. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom. King, queen and twin in the 'kids room'. All are heated with portable electric heaters. Downstairs the living room is heated by a large propane fire place (with glass window to watch the flames'. There is a second full bathroom on the first floor along with a full kitchen with electric stove, microwave, toaster oven, electric water kettle and coffee maker. There is basic unlimited wi-fi internet with modest speeds and 42 inch flat screen TV if you want to plug your computer and watch movies from your device. However, we do not provide any TV cable stations and streaming is usually possible but we do not guarantee it every night since the wi-fi is provided by satellite (much slower than what you are probably used to in your city). Streaming is likely to work just fine 80% of the time. You also have access to the 2 level deck outside, which you access through sliding doors from the kitchen. There's a football sized backyard, working farms can be seen just by walking along our very infrequently traveled dirt road. The house is 26 miles from Exit 21 off New York State Thru-Way, Rt 23 and then Rt 145. Nearby attractions: Windham Mountain ( 18 miles - 30 minutes ) Hunter Mountain ( 31 miles - 50 minutes ) Kaaterskill Falls ( 30 miles 55 minutes ) Albany ( 35 miles - 1 hour ) Howe Caverns ( 38 miles - 50 minutes ) Snow removal is the responsibility of the renter. We can refer you to a local person who lives just 2 miles for the house that we have been using for more than 15 years. Included in rent is water, electric, propane, sewer, garbage removal. Tenant is expected to obtain renters insurance. 3-4 month lease only. January - April Landlord pays internet, garbage, electric, propane, water and sewer. A deposit equal to the rent + 1st months rent + final month of rent due at signing. Cats are okay, dogs not permitted. Smoking is not permitted on the property.
