    A stunning 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment blocks from Union Station available at the end of May for a 12-month lease. Move-in date is a bit flexible, and can start as early as May 15th or as late as June 1st. I have lived in this unit for 4 years and have adored every minute and will miss living here! Unfortunately, we are leaving DC, so we are ending our lease early (thus the flexible move-in date.) However, this is not a sublet or a re-let, the landlord is interested in finding a tenant for another 12 month lease. The unit has hardwood floors in the main living area, a private patio, a working, wood-burning fireplace, and washer and dryer in unit--seriously hard to find! The apartment is an English basement, but the long patio allows for full size windows which let in a ton of light. The building is a historic 1894 school building with amazing history! The location is hard to beat--minutes to Union Station, one block off of H street with restaurants and bars (very fun pre-covid!), one block to a Giant Grocery store, walkable to several parks and coffee shops. The unit rents for $2500, and there is a $35 "resident benefit package" that includes renters insurance, so the monthly comes to $2535. The building is pet friendly (for dogs up to 30 lbs) and a pet fee applies. The apartment is managed by EJF Real Estate, and they are very responsive and have taken care of any maintenance issues swiftly. If you are interested in leasing the unit, the application and background check will be carried out through EJF. There is a security deposit of $2,500 and the condo charges a move-in fee of $500. Electricity and Internet are tenant's responsibility.
