There is also a very efficient wood burning stove for the cloudy days - or electric baseboard heaters in each room for convenient isolated heating. Cooling is evaporative and only needs to be used during the very hottest months thanks to the light colored roofing and solar-minded positioning. There is a large, fenced yard which surrounds two sides of the house and a dogdoor in the laundry room which can be closed off from the rest of the house. Both cats and dogs are welcome.
