If you like dogs, kids and lot of outdoor activities, keep reading.... We have a quasi collective home in an amazing spot right here in Worcester: waterfront (literally 333 degrees of water around us on a peninsula) surrounded by nature but conveniently close to everything in Worcester (near Worcester State University). What we're offering is a 180 sq ft room, plus a shared 1000+ square feet of common space, kitchen/living room/2 full bathrooms/hot tub/big deck/yard/laundry room. Sharing space and community is our intention, but no long house-meetings (1 every 2 months). We strive to live sustainably, recycle, use no chemicals. Good for gardening. Many outdoor activities year round (skating, skiing, canoeing, swimming). $500/month for a single, $600/month for a couple, plus utilities. Children and pets are welcome. Currently 4 adults and one child live here. We also have two young dogs and a cat. On the weekends there is usually another child here as well. It is built as a summer home, but we've done some weatherizing. Utilities will be around $80/month (rough estimate).
