    Beautiful circa 1850 Georgian home. They don’t make them like this anymore. The exterior, and some interior walls are three bricks thick (1 foot thick). The Dining and Family rooms on the first floor have wonderful woodwork with crown molding. The family room has a fireplace that has been closed off with an ornate cover and is no longer functional. The Dining room has a working gas fireplace that is great for those family get together and holiday seasons. This 4 bedroom home was remodeled in the 2009/2010 timeframe. In 2009, the home was purchased, and all the hardwood floors were sanded and refinished. All walls had wall paper removed, and were painted. All windows were replaced and updated with energy efficient windows that maintain the appearance of the house for its time period. In 2010, Central Air was installed (one system for the main floor, one system for the top floor) to cool the entire house. The kitchen was also updated with custom cabinets for ample storage/display by a local craftsman, a granite countertop, and stainless steel appliances. The original black and white checkered floor tile work was retained in the kitchen. Both bathrooms have been updated to have a shower feature added to the existing bathtub. The bottom floor bathroom has had marble tiles added. The top floor bathroom has had all the original tile work maintained, and the shower system installed is a drop down ring type system. The home’s heat is provided by original to the house radiator heaters, which provide even heat throughout the house. In the back yard, a black aluminum fence has been installed to completely enclose the yard. Also in the back yard is a building that was the original summer kitchen for the home. In 1997, a barn like two story garage was installed and is attached to the summer kitchen. The garage has a wall mounted air conditioner, and a floor water heating system. The second floor of the garage is accessed by a drop down latter, and contains a finish floored area and lighting for all your storage needs. Landscaping around the house has been tastefully done. On the west side exterior of the house is a large veranda area that has lighting and fans so you can enjoy the summer afternoon. Above the veranda area is a large deck that can be accessed from the second floor of the house, or by a metal spiral staircase just off the veranda. October 2021. Main house roof replaced with Owens Corning Duration composite shingles with limited lifetime warranty. There is also a 10 year limited workmanship warranty provided by the installer that is transferable to the new owner.
