TELL ME ABOUT THE LIVING SITUATION ITSELF For sale is a 1986 Chris Craft Catalina 362 power boat appropriately named Moving Castle. Designed for comfortable on-the-water living, it has a smart design that offers 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining nook, living room area and a deck. That's right - it actually has 2 full bedrooms with full bathrooms! Each bedroom offers a closet and an ensuite bathroom. The dining room and kitchen area are fully furnished and equipped with everything you need for comfort. Excellent interior design ensures that all of the space is utilized for maximum efficiently, so that you can have private areas and common areas. AND THE LOCATION? Included with the boat is the right and opportunity to take over our slip at the Constitution Marina. Constitution Marina is one of the best, upscale marinas in the Boston areas. It provides all of the necessities, such as electrical hook up, water hookup, free wi-fi, free pump out services, laundry facilities, as well as a beautiful BBQ / common area and a pool. During the summer, the pool is a great way to cool down and relax, while having dinner with friends. During the winter, it gets converted to Boston's largest indoor hot-tub (open exclusively to the marina residents). 1 free parking space is also included! The marina provides for comfortable year round living - whether during the Summer or the Winter - and has a great community of over 100+ liveaboards. In other words, there are over 100 other boats that have residents living their year round and it creates a fantastic community and atmosphere. HOW ABOUT THE BOAT ITSELF? One of the best things is that you don't just get an apartment on the water, but you get an incredibly fun, turn-key and ready to go, powerful twin-engine boat! It can accommodate up to 10 people for a day trip or 4-6 for a weekend getaway. It's a perfect way to explore Boston Harbor Islands, go fishing, do weekend getaways to Cape Cod or Maine. All of the specs and details are available on request! WHAT ARE THE COSTS? If you choose to remain at the Constitution Marina, you can take over our slip for $850 per month. That includes electric, water, wi-fi, 1 free parking space, pool access and other amenities. If you choose to move it to another location, that's certainly do-able. Expect to pay anywhere from $400 to $850 per month for a slip. We do very highly recommend, however, to stay at the Constitution Marina, as it's incredible well managed, offers an amazing location, beautiful views, and a great community. While not the cheapest, you get your money's worth here. CAN I REALLY DO THIS? Absolutely! We decided to give up our apartment and move in onto the boat ourselves without prior boating experience or knowledge and had an amazing time living here. Anybody can do it and it's perfect for both individuals and couples. Oh, and if you have a pet (e.g. dog), no problem either - dozens of other residents live onboard with dogs and pets of all sizes.
