Hi, Thanks for looking! Sorry this'll be kinda long...We've got a two bedroom unit up for rent at Downing and 27th. If you're familiar with the area, you know that the neighborhood is great. It's three blocks from the light rail, and it's a weird old triplex built in 1874, one of the oldest properties in the neighborhood. This is one of three units on the property, and all the neighbors are professionals that you'll get along with if you aren't a bonehead. I'm kind of hungover right now, so please forgive my sarcasm. We are NON CORPORATE management...if you've had "them", you know what it's like being the "tenant", I mean slave, to the man. Or just being the person in number 2b, and they don't even know your damn name! We're not that way, and honestly would love to have a really cool relationship with the folks that are paying our mortgage. The big guys don't seem to understand that...who's paying the mortgage, I mean. And my wife is the man, ask me more about that some time over a beer. I just work here. Which we'll likely do, if I picked you right. You'd also be welcome to talk to some of our tenants at our other properties to verify that we'll be cool, or the previous tenants. It is important to us that folks get along, and we'll do everything we can to help!Okay, the unit...Completely gutted and remodeled. Beige walls with bright white trim and ceiling. We use a deep red for accents, and it looks great. Lots of crown moulding, it looks like you're stepping into the late 1800's and you're rich. Stainless appliances, with a dishwasher and a built in microwave over the range. Granite countertops with tumbled marble backsplashes, new stainless steel appliances. I'll throw in a new stainless bbq grill with the unit if you don't already have one.The lighting is my department, and I love lighting. Pretty ceiling fans, and guess what, they're all on dimmers, with remotes. Really cool original style moulding throughout, but I ate enough lead chips as a kid, so we just had the mouldings custom re-created instead of stripping them, which means they don't look like they have 47 coats of paint on them. You'll love it. Newer windows, so the utilities will be reasonable. And I blew in like 14 feet of insulation in the attic. That was a fun day, but hey, maybe it will pay for itself in ten years. The outside is pretty bland, but it's cool to see people walk in and their reaction from the outside to the inside. We tend to buy the ugly ducklings and then overdue the interiors to make up for the outside being kind of bland. This property has been everything from commercial manufacturing to retail, and it switched back to residential in the 80's. Eleven foot ceilings throughout with everything new...the kitchen, bath, plumbing, furnace and electrical. Hardwood floors throughout. No stupid carpet, so you'll get your deposit back if you don't clean with a softball bat, golf inside the house, or aren't an idiot. NEW bathroom with top end ceramic tile and a one piece toilet. Your own washer and dryer are included. New furnace and water heater, both energy star rated, and it is air-conditioned with a whole house evaporitive cooler, which works awesome for pennies on the dollar compared to A/C, The heating and cooling stuff is dedicated to your place, so you set the thermostat where you want.Ok, now to my favorite part. The yard. It's big, with lighting for parties or to see your pup, and it has a gated off street parking spot behind a locked gate. Really open and bright. The folks there before had a swimming pool in their parking spot, so you can use it for anything that you'd like. The place is a tank. It has brick walls that are three courses of brick thick, and noise has NEVER been a problem. All three units are on one floor, separated by the brick walls. It's really closer to single family living than multi. Besides, if you're not a retard, you know you need to invite your neighbors to the party anyway, then there's no one to complain. Light rail
