Glacier Park, the ''''Crown of the Continent,'''' is less than an hour away. As you drive onto the property, you marvel at the similarities of your day in the Park. The rugged rock out-croppings frame the majestic views of the valleys & crevices of the Swan Mountains. The foothills shimmer with the leaves of the deciduous trees & the deep color of the multitude of pine trees create a green carpet in contrast to the dark hue of the mountains & the rich blue sky beyond. As you pull up to the 3 bd/2 bath cabin, you smile with appreciation at the placement of the perfectly sized structure. You step into the country kitchen & grab a cold beverage then on to the comfortable lounge chair on the back porch. There's that incredible view, enhanced now by the soothing sound of Deer Creek cascading over the rocks.Back to the gourmet kitchen designed to be the "hang out" as your guests trickle in from the guest house which has a master suite plus bunk room. You look across the expanse of lawn and watch as the kids come running from the cottage, climbing on the rocks and chasing the dog. It's fun, tonight, because every one is gathering under one roof. Your friends have commented on how comfortable and spacious their quarters are and how much they enjoy cooking in the large kitchen. They love the master bedroom with the incredible views and enjoy the fact that all 4 of the kids are sleeping in the same big room! The guest house is just far enough from the main cabin to allow ample privacy and space for everybody.Imagine your recently purchased four-wheeler, your new "Gator" and the vintage army jeep your Grandfather left you, are all parked in the shop waiting to be driven over the trails on the adjoining public land. There's also the plan to hike back up the Wolf Creek Trail and into the Bob Marshall Wilderness area. For now, you'll just have to be content to enjoy the mountains from the upstairs master bedroom or the living room. To warm tonight to start a fire but you've had some nice ones when the mountain chill is the air. Time to put the kids to bed in the 4 bunks bedroom and check on Aunt Jean in the other guest room. Back to the kitchen for a night cap and then everyone is off to their respective beds to rest up for another day of Glacier Park-like adventures.
