Our home is located on a cul-de-sac of very friendly neighbors but with no drive-through traffic. There is a gated entrance to the fountain courtyard. Tiled rotunda leads to a sweeping staircase at the heart of the home. To the rear is the large gathering kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances. Adjoining the kitchen is the great room which leads out to the pool and outdoor living area. A built-in BBQ and pergola covered patio allow for easy entertaining and everyday outdoor living. The office leads off of the rotunda and is accessible from the courtyard by french doors making a "work-at-home" lifestyle effortless. Wall-to-wall bookcases line the tiled room. The living room, dining room, main-floor guest suite, laundry room and 3 car garage tiled with industrial snap tiles complete the main floor. Upstairs one wing has 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have a Jack and Jill bath and the other has it's bath en-suite. A playroom connects the bedrooms with a pool table and flat panel TV. Down the hall the master suite opens into a large bedroom, stepping up to it's own living area. We have two walk- in closets and a bathroom that is bigger than two people would ever need (but I love it!) The bedroom has 8 shuttered windows that let in light and air but can be closed to shut out the world. It is our own special oasis. Oh, the pool is solar heated! and we have installed as many energy saving features as we can and are still working on it every day. But there is more and that is the immediate neighborhood. Neighborhood Description The Torcello Tract is one of the very finest in Stevenson Ranch. It is at the very top of Stevenson Ranch and our streets all are bounded by the canyons and Santa Suzanna mountains. At the bottom of our neighborhood, every convenience is available, right there. We have a sweet little cafe right in our neighborhood and a few yards down the road you hit The Old Road where you can find anything you might need. Then you drive up the hill and as you climb higher you begin to notice the mountains more and more. Even though we are in a neighborhood, I never fail to appreciate how close to nature we are. There is a hawk that flys overhead during the day and many nights a great white owl. As for our immediate neighborhood, I can't say enough. Our cul de sac is incomparable. It is like stepping back to the times when neighbors looked out for each other, children played in the streets and block parties were a tradition. Neighbors were like family, celebrating holidays and the big events with one another. That is what is like here. Each new neighbor has been greeted with open arms and no one has felt like an outsider here. Probably the best thing about this house is this street but there is so much that is great about the house that a statement like that is huge!
