Please note that the building does not allow undergraduate students. Building: Historic, beautiful, and very well run. The neighbors are quite friendly, and you can always expect a warm welcome at the concierge desk when you return home every day. Location: The building is located right on Newbury St. In fact, the apartment with its many large windows looks right into Newbury St. It is conveniently located just one block from Prudential Mall, Wayfair, and Copley Square (with the green line T station). This is a fabulous location with plenty of retail stores, bars, restaurants, and dessert shops nearby. Commonwealth Ave with the center lane park is only a block away, and the esplanade and the Charles river are only a few blocks away! Apartment: 1 bedroom renovated apartment that is 710 sq. ft. total, with a large 15"x22" living room, 11"x13" bedroom, 9"x9" entry area, 1 bathroom with 24-hour hot water, and 1 kitchen with stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher, and black but modern glass-top stove and microwave. Lots of shelves and cabinets everywhere, a storage area, and very spacious closets. New hardwood flooring. Excellent ventilation and lighting while not being in direct sunlight, which is a win-win. Furnishings: I will leave all the furnitures you see in the pictures, including a top-of-the-line 9" firm latex mattress. I will also leave the utensils you may need in the kitchen, bookshelves, shoe rack, lamps, wall hangings, garbage bins, and whatever else you may need for a comfortable stay here. Pets: I can get you approved for up to two pets (except a few large breeds), at NO additional cost! Parking: I can get you a reserved, secure underground parking spot for $400 a month (cheap for this area). Normally, there is a long waitlist to get this spot, but if you tell me right away, I can secure this for you. If you would rather not pay for parking, you can get a free Back Bay resident sticker from the City of Boston that will allow you to park on many resident-only parking streets nearby. You would just need to move the car once every 1-2 weeks for street cleaning. The building does have a free locked bike storage. Duration: The sublet will ideally run July to December, but if your requirements are different, we can make it work! Rent: I am asking only $3,000 a month, which is well below the market value for this apartment, and well below what I pay. In exchange for this, I ask that you take good care of my furniture and the apartment while I am away. Note that the rent includes air-conditioning and heating, so your electric bill will only contain the cost of lighting, fans for the A/C, and kitchen appliances. My average utility bill has been $50.
