A year round, spring-fed creek runs by the custom built log home and powers the micro hydro system. 29 acres are primarily forested with Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, and Western Larch with a limited number of Cedars in the creek bottoms. This property is peaceful and secluded, frequented by many species of wildlife. You will never tire of the abundant views of mountains, fauna and flora. The house is heated with either a wood stove or propane wall furnace. The kitchen includes a propane cook stove and two refrigerators, one electric and one gas. This property is totally self-contained and OFF THE GRID with a micro hydro power system, drilled well for potable water, and a gravity flow water system for non-potable water. The 24 Volt hydropower system includes: The Steam Engine by Energy Systems and Design Ltd. Of Canada, Trace T240 Autotransformer, Trace C-Series Multifunction DC Controller, Trace, DR Series Inverter Charger, all by XANTEX, Storage bank of 8 Trojan Deep Cycle batteries. The system was installed in December of 2003. A Honda 6500 watt backup generator is included with the property.
