“Driving Tour of Carrollton” brochure states: “Magnolia Hall was built by Dr. Harvey Burton Upchurch in 1917 with ample square footage for both his personal housing needs as well as room for patients who required overnight medical care. This Greek Revival-influenced house features a 2 story portico supported by 4 large brick columns with a balcony over the entrance. Exterior walls are three bricks thick, and still in place are the original pine floors. The front door with its transom and sidelights leads into a center hallway and staircase of this symmetrically designed house.”
