About the home:
This home was built in 1896 and has seen many styles through the years! It was split into apartments a few decades ago like many of the historical homes in the area. A lot of the original charm of the house has been preserved, and it gained some artistic flair in the 2021 renovation. Some creaks and squeaks remain and due to the age of the home and shared vent system, you may occasionally hear other Art House Residents. During the winter, the furnace is set to an overall balanced temperature for the building. Window AC units used during summer.

The name Nine Rails pays tribute to Ogden's history as a railroad town, originally a major connection point on the Transcontinental Railroad and later, during World War II, a hub for nine different rail lines. "You can't get anywhere without coming to Ogden" was a city slogan for a decade or more. The Nine Rails name is also symbolic of the Nine Muses from Greek mythology, with each muse representing a different form of artistic expression.
