About 35 miles in the other direction, is the 5300 rugged acres of Mary McCroskey State Park which offers even more outdoor recreation especially for horseback and ATV riders. One of the greatest perks of this location is its close proximity (approximately 25 miles) to the University of Idaho and Moscow, which is known for its arts and cultural activities. Some of the annual events Moscow is famous for include the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, the Renaissance Fair and the Washington-Idaho Symphony.
