The "Mill House", built in 1860 is sited on a hill overlooking the town of Chester and a string of waterfalls that once powered the mill and continues through the town square. The Mill House itself is a handsome example of period New England colonials of the era. Dating to colonial times, Chester was founded alongside the Connecticut River around 1672.
