Our home was built in 1900, it is a brick Victorian style home with a rod iron entry gate and a beautiful Victorian Gingerbread wrap around porch. The porch columns have traditional turned balusters with gingerbread brackets and the railings have both the top handrail and bottom rail.
The garden is Victorian by nature and encourages a sense of exploration, framed with a brick curved path with beds of scented flowers such as Asian lilies, assorted roses, ferns, hostas, silver maple trees and more.
The interior has beautiful hardwood floors, the foyer has the original Victorian gingerbread wooden fretwork spandrels over the archway to the living room and the dinning room. Corbels were later added to the foyer to adorn the molding. The ceilings are nine-feet high and the rooms are large 16‘x13’ on average with beautiful woodwork throughout the house. Each room has large windows with traditional woodwork frame, lots of sunlight and views of the garden. It is a three story house: the first floor has living-room/parlor, dinning room, eat-in kitchen and breakfast bar, pantry and half bath; second floor has two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a walk-in closet, the modern bath room has two areas one maintains the deep claw foot tub, separate shower, shelves and cedar lined closet. The third floor has two large bedrooms either of which makes for a nice office. There is also a full basement with a concrete brick floor, the laundry room is there.
