This is the most beautiful spot in all of Mapleton - in my opinion. ;) It is breathtaking, open, serene, and touches the wild. I love this spot so much that I scraped together what I had to buy the home. There are renovations that I would like to do like adding more windows across the back and changing the upstairs layout, but I don't have the money yet. Still, even as it is now, I feel like it'll be the perfect home for the right family : someone who wants the space of a big house, or a wild backyard and raising kids in nature, and this will be perfect for someone. If so - welcome to 2.1 acres at the mouth of Hobble Creek canyon, with views out all the way to the mountains beyond Utah Lake in one direction and up into the canyon in the other. There is an old fenced orchard, a green area, nature behind the home that backs up to a shallow but flowing creek and lots of additional space to the side of the home for chickens, pigs, a garden, anything. The home itself even has a functioning green room off the kitchen. This large home is so peaceful, at the end of a culd-e-sac on a private community road, right past an open meadow. It has wood throughout and just feels really, really nice to be in. However the past owner did not finish all of the rooms so it still has a little bit of a funny layout for the bedrooms and the master bathroom has a toilet and vanity and I think I'll get a tub in there but maybe you'd prefer a shower and we'd have to decide this together: this is why I have listed this large home in this unbeatable setting for the low rent it's at. I want to eventually redo the layout and bathrooms of the top floor and add a glass back wall, so I don't want to invest a lot in the current layout. So! The thinking is: if I can find someone that will be happy here for a little while as it is: enjoying the the home as is (super high ceilings in the open and unfinished basement, lots of open areas throughout the home, double car garage with a little shop, etc), the beautiful views, the wide open land behind it that backs up to woods, a creek after a very short hike, and even the Mapleton res, and the peaceful atmosphere. I am open to make some improvements and add walls but want to find the right tenant and then we can walk through together and you can point out a couple things that would make it work for you - I just want to do that with the person that will be living there so I don't do anything uneeded or unwanted, and I don't want to invest too much in the current state bc I plan to change those bigger things in a couple years, if that makes sense. I feel in my heart that there are people out there that this home would be just the right match for them and their situation, so I offer open honesty about my situation in hopes of finding that person! I am a nice landlord with 5 young kids and I live only 3 minutes away. I would like to make this a positive experience for both of us! Thank you!!
