In the winter when they are dormant, there is a quiet buzz inside the log. The house is also passive solar. Numerous trees surround the house which produces shade and keeps the house cooler in the summer while the exposed deck in the southern winter sun heats up the back deck, so when opening the back door – heat can transfer to the inside of the house in mid-afternoon. There are many producing fruit trees, blackberries and grapes, along with some new plantings. The house is located one block off the main road. Restaurants nearby. Many parades (4th of July, Dec. Light Parade) can be watched from the deck or walk up to the corner to watch closer. There are many annual events on the Main Street and at the local Memorial Park nearby. “The Lowe House” is the perfect first home, down-sizing, weekend getaway, second home with much character, heart and warmth to enjoy life for the right person or persons who are willing to take the time to care for the beautiful ambiance it encompasses.
