Homes of this quality are not built today. It's very open and airy. The fireplace is a beautiful freestanding wall moung that works great! The Kitchen is partially updated including a new counter top, double stainless steel sink also including an under the sink Reverse Osmosis system that provides a spout for use through the sink. RO water is better than bottled water and rarely needs servicing. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen with tall ceilings there. But the best part of kitchen is the countertop range that's called an "invection range top". It uses magnetism to heat the pan rather than heat from a coil or gas, although it is as quick or quicker than gas (with out the worry). If you take the pan or pot off the burner, it beeps then cuts itself off. But the only heat that could be felt is the left over heat from the pan. It's worth about $1800 these days. The pool is caged, but the top came loose (I did it myself, so I guess I was to nervous on the crawling boards to use enough pressure) I've had estimates to repair or replace the top and provide new door hardware and screen as well. The house has stucco over block walls except the Florida room (nearly 12' wide and about 30' long glassed all the way around. There are some very beautiful and exotic plants in the back yard (great place for a hammock!). The house is set up as a split plan for bedrooms, 3 (including the master, with a view of the backgarden thru 9ft of glass wall that enters into the florida room) with the other 2 on the same wing of the house. The front bedroom is set up with it's own bath and separate entrance (mother-in-law suite ?) and the 4th bedroom, I used for my office because it has 6' of window space overlooking the pool. Neighborhood Description very quiet, close to all major shopping, most homes are owned and take pride in our neighborhood. Very safe! Families with kids like that Riverview is just up the street. It's one of the older communities in Sarasota, but must have been one of the most expensive in it's beginning. We are the closest community to south Siesta Key on the east side of hwy 41. I hate to move, but it's way to big for just me. If you buy very soon, I'll leave the "Baby Grand" piano! It's worth the price. I've lived in Sarasota for about 13 years And I've seen the prices go up and down. It'll come back and to you're advantage.
