The Library Loft has 150 MBPS internet and wifi. High chair, Pack 'n Play, and a stroller are available for family guests! The Library Loft is stocked with games for all age groups. Layout: One enters the Library Loft via two flights of steps that lead to a South-facing deck that looks onto the range of mountains from Pikes Peak to Cheyenne Mountain. Off the Library Loft foyer and hall on the East and West sides are two bedrooms, each with its own bed, seating space, closet, ladder, sleeper loft, and restroom. At the end of the hallway separating the rooms is a Great Room, which includes the den (West) and the Kitchen (East), adjoined by a library wall accessible via a ladder. Bedrooms: Firm beds, soft sheets, warm blankets, central heating, and adjustable ceiling fans make for a reinvigorating night's sleep so you can wake up refreshed and ready for a day of play in Colorado's natural playground. The Library Loft has vaulted ceilings in both bedrooms, in the living room, and in the kitchen. There is ample natural and artificial lighting in all rooms. Each bedroom has its own queen or full bed, plus a sleeper loft space with twin or king bed that is accessible by ladder. Sleeper lofts: one enters the 3' high sleeper lofts from each bedroom, and the sleeper lofts are open to the bedrooms. A security rail and loft bed position keep one securely in the sleeper loft. The sleeper lofts also look onto the common room (kitchen and den) when their sliding doors are in the open position. The sliding doors can also close along tracks to seal off loft occupants from the common room. Each loft also has a skylight so one can look upon the Colorado sky. The lofts are great sleeper spaces for additional guests or hang-out spaces for the kids. However, not all adults will be comfortable in these cozy sleeping spaces, and for these, we recommend the beds in the bedrooms. Kitchen & Food. The Kitchen is full-service. it features a double oven and stovetop, a full-sized fridge, a microwave, toaster, water boiler, coffee maker, cutting boards, a cutlery set, and all the pots, pans, cooking utensils, glassware, flatware, and other accouterments to make meals at home. Don't want to eat in? Dine out at one of a host of area restaurants--Greek, Italian, French, Asian, Ethiopian, etc.--all within walking distance. The Den: Relax on the overstuffed leather couch or the comfy wing-backed chair, put your feet up, have a glass of wine, and gaze into the flames of the light switch-controlled gas fireplace in the Den. There is a 32' Roku TV for times when the family wants to catch a show together on Netflix, explore YouTube, etc. The Library: the entire North wall of the Library Loft is occupied by windows and built-in bookshelves. Part the cafe curtains to watch the bustle of Colorado Avenue, full of Farmer's market shoppers, window-lookers, Garman Gallery/Magic Town visitors, Simpich Puppet Theater attendees, and restaurant-goers. Access the game shelves for everything from kids toys, to puzzles, to classic board games, to chess, backgammon, and dice, to cards and poker chips. There are games of all kinds for all ages. Likewise, there are books from many genres: classic literature, science fiction, non-fiction, self-help and spirituality, children's works, cookbooks, and more. Technology: The entire Library Loft is outfitted with free, business speed wifi (150 MBPS download), a streaming TV (common area), and basic cable television (East bedroom). See the welcome letter on-site for wifi name and password information. The East bedroom's TV also comes with a DVD player, along with a portable cd player/radio. Parking: Free, private parking exists on-site for up to two guest vehicles and free public parking within line of sight of the entry for additional vehicles. The Library Loft is situated in the heart of downtown Old Colorado City (aka OCC, a neighborhood of Colorado Springs), with lots of Western charm, fabulous art, restaurants, tea houses, pubs, specialty shops, and attractions. Old Colorado City is a walking-friendly, "mountain urban" locale. Galleries: Magic Town (The Michael Garman Gallery), Chavez Art Gallery and the Simpich Puppet Theater Gallery are must-sees.
