Our home is filled with light and forest views. Skylights and high windows capture the constantly changing light throughout the day. The ceilings are interesting with many clerestories, several skylights, and height variations. The Office and large bookcase are great, two fireplaces easily heat the house although there is a new furnace and A/C system installed in 2021. In 2023 we have installed a Kohler 14kW backup generator. This automatically turns on when PG&E power is interrupted, and returns to the grid automatically when PG&E power is restored. It is sized to run the entire house panel. The master suite is downstairs and provides a very private space to retire to when the house is full of guests. The house is beautifully nestled on a slope set back from the road with the rear deck pleasantly perched in the forest. We didn't even know about Summit Store when we bought our home, but I now refer to it as our garage refrigerator! I can make a round trip in under 10 minutes. The nights are quiet with owls and other night sounds, and Summit road is only noisy during the busiest hours. We have very quiet weekend and holiday mornings.
