The architectural design is unique and very good curb appeal. It looks like a big bird house. The roof is steep-pitched and has exaggerated A-line flared features. When it was painted dark brown and had a dark brown roof, it looked like a Bavarian Chalet. In 2015, we had the roof replaced and the wood exterior painted beige which looks very nice with new roof and brickwork. Two of our immediate neighbors also have this style of home. There are a few dozen of these types of homes in our town--all built in the 1960s and 1970s.
