This is a RECREATIONAL cabin, not intended for full-time living. It's in a REMOTE COMMUNITY area where snow builds up over the winter to about 8-10' deep. In the winter, we park at the Gold Creek SnoPark and ski or snowshoe about 1.2 miles to the cabin. You may be breaking trail. You will be responsible for snow removal (to suit your own access needs). Gold Creek Valley paradise. A craftsman-built cabin in the woods, looking up at Rampart Ridge. Within a small community alongside the Gold Creek Trail in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness leading to Alaska Lake, Joe Lake, and views of Chickamin Peak. Cabin is sturdy and stout, finished with reclaimed fir, pine, and mahogany. Double-pane windows, heated bathroom floor, wood burning stove, open sleeping loft (2 queen and 1 twin bed), and finished basement with a queen sleeper sofa. Main floor has a mud room, bathroom, kitchen/living area. Fully furnished. Front and back decks, with picnic table and approved fire ring outside. The community is tight-knit but largely not tight-a$$ed. Access is by vehicle until the snow builds up. Then it's an unplowed, non-motorized SnoPark and recreation road. Ski or snowshoe in 1.2-miles in from FS 4832, which is plowed after the major roads get plowed. Start with a 6-month lease. Keep it clean and in great shape, and we can discuss an option to continue. The list of No's: * No smoking indoors. * No pet waste left inside or out. * Don't set the cabin or the forest on fire. * No toxic cleaners (green cleaning products provided). * No pesticides (none needed). * No painting or remodeling without prior approval.
