This is a 4 bedroom / 3.5 bath condo (over 2,000 square feet / 185 square meters) located at the entrance of Squaw Valley in the Tavern Inn complex. The condo is less than 1 mile to the Squaw Creek Resort and less than 2 miles to the fantastic Squaw Valley ski resort (i.e. ski lifts at Squaw Village). Easy road access to Truckee (~10 miles), Alpine Meadows, and Tahoe City (~5 miles). Drive south to Emerald Bay and South Lake Tahoe or north to Incline Village and Sand Harbor. The paved trail to Squaw Valley Village and Tahoe City is right outside the complex! In winter, there is a FREE on-demand door-to-door shuttle service (think Uber/Lyft in the mountains). It is called Mountaineer. You can download the app on your phone. Pool/tennis courts (summer only) and hot tub/sauna (all year round except during pandemics ) in the complex. Short walk to a 7-Eleven (mini supermarket), and ski (winter) / bike (summer) shop. Activities for you to enjoy in the area include: skiing / snowboarding (Squaw or Alpine Meadows on the same Ikon Pass), cross-country skiing (Tahoe XC in Tahoe City or Donner), snowshoeing (anywhere ), ice skating (Squaw Creek Resort, Truckee or Tahoe City), snowmobile (Brockway Summit is great), kayaking / canoeing / boating (Tahoe City), river rafting (Tahoe City), Golf (Squaw Creek resort). Equipment: hi-speed WIFI, dishwasher, washer, dryer, 4 TVs total (1 TV with cable and 3 TVs with Roku sticks with Netflix), memory foam mattresses on every bed. 2. Ground level: fully-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with wood-burning fireplace. Small deck with a gas BBQ and small table. Lobby to store ski gear, etc. 3. Upstairs: 2 master bedrooms. Both bedrooms have TV and Roku. 1 king bed and 1 queen bed. Both bedrooms have a private bathroom (shower and toilet). Laundry room with washer and dryer. 4. Downstairs: 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a den (with TV and Roku). 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 bedroom with bunk beds (4 beds). Guest access The entire condo is available to guests except for a couple locked closets. The kitchen is fully stocked as though you were in your own home, including dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and a small pantry of necessities. Private garage parking for one car is attached to the condo. You can also park one car in front of the garage and one car in one of the first-come first-serve spots nearby the condo. Hot tub, pool, sauna, bathrooms, and tennis courts can be accessed by a key card provided in the condo. Other things to note It is the mountains, with sometimes extreme weather conditions. We have a snow plow service through the Home Owners Association but being able to dig out to your car, etc. during heavy snow storms is expected. Snow shovels in the garage. Nightly rates are inclusive of the 10% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT). This is a Placer County tax to fund local projects such as transportation services, construction and maintenance of bike trails, recreation facilities, and snow removal efforts.
