There are 9 foot ceilings which give it a great open feel.Because of the tall ceilings we put 40 inch upper cabinets in the kitchen which give a sleek appearance. There are glass front doors over the sink area and a great open corner. We built a custom table for two for this apartment from the fir wood from the 1800 that we were forced to remove as part of the remodel. We bought some very contemporary stools to accompany them as mixeing old and new is the greatest way to honor both styles of this great old building.The granite used in the kitchen and bath is called Green Butterfly and has a black background but lots of green flecks that sparkle.We have used the darker colors to accent the apartment and you can see this in the dark accent wall in the Living Room. The floors are an Ebony design in the kitchen. The curtains are all matching in style and design throughout the apartment but if you look carefully each window is a different Earth tone - Dark Brown, Rust, Gold and Ivory in the Bedroom. When you look at the picture of the whole house this apartment is the top large window (just not as high as the attic small window) which puts you in the clouds - literally some days!If you are being relocated with the Guard rest assured.
