The Austin Bouldering Project, perhaps the best gym and deal you'll find in the city, is less than 10 minutes away by car. And it is a less than 15 minute drive to the airport with no traffic.
For transportation alternatives to a personal car, you will find several close-by Bikeshare stations, CapMetro bus stops, and electric scooters. The Plaza Saltillo commuter rail station, which goes from downtown to the suburbs, is a 15 minute walk. Ride sharing is, of course, available. It is generally a very walkable neighborhood (a neighborhood HEB grocery store is close by, for instance), and many people get around town exclusively by biking as well.
