My wife and I purchased this property in 1992 and built our home here in 1995. Our home is a true timber frame construction with massive oak beams showing off the mortise and tenon type joinery with oak pegs. We love the 28 foot wood burning stone ï¬replace in the great room as well as the tongue and groove ceiling with exposed beams in the foyer, great room, and kitchen. The gas ï¬replaces in the breakfast area and master bath also are favorites of ours. Most of all we enjoy the privacy from being in the center of 97 plus acres while being less than 30 minutes away from any of the Tri Cities or the airport. When we are home it is often like being in our own private world even when we are outside. The previous owners had owned the property since the late 60âs, roughly 25 years. Coincidentally, we are approaching 25 years(2017) that we have also owned the property. We have chased many dreams here. We have built a home and groomed the property, raised cattle, miniature cattle, and horses on the property and spent nights in the barn napping while waiting on foals to be born. We have grown our own food in our garden and have created and maintained several trails through the property suitable for hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, etc. We have sat on the covered porch and watched many sunsets, or listened to the rain in complete privacy. We have watched as wildlife have steadily increased in number on the property including deer and turkeys. We look forward each spring to the new fawns as well as hearing the turkeys gobble in all directions during mating season followed by dozens of young hatchlings that we watch grow during the summer. We have listened to the howl of coyotes at night in the valleys to either side of us. In the fall we are surrounded by the changing colors of the trees covering almost half the property.
