Riverland Terrace is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The streets are great for walking, bike-riding, scooters, some are even good for skates and skateboards. Riverland Terrace was once part of Wappoo Hall Plantation, with an avenue of oaks and old brick gates hidden in old lots. We have a boat landing at the end of Plymouth Avenue and a playground and 2 baseball fields. There are pecan trees all over the neighborhood. There is also a neighborhood association, the Riverland Terrace Neighborhood Association, which often meets at the James Island Baptist Church, at the entrance to the neighborhood on Wappoo Drive. The Neighborhood Association sponsors a neighborhood clean-up and picnic in the Spring and Fall.
