This is a rustic and cozy camp located on the Buckhannon River just outside of the town of Buckhannon in Upshur County, WV. It features a 1.13 acres riverfront site (2 adjoining lots of .6 and .5 acres each), most of which is cleared and grassy, for outdoor games and tents, or to build a large wooden cabin. The camp was built in 1957 and expanded by the previous owner. The cottage has about 1100 square feet of interior living space and can sleep 8 in 2 bedrooms (1 standard and 2 twin beds), plus a great room, with fan, that can sleep 4 people (queen size sofa bed, trundle bed). It has both public water (potable) and sewage lines, a gas line for heat, local phone service and comes with a fully equipped kitchen with mostly new appliances and a new hot water heater. The bathroom has a full shower/bath and small window that provides natural light. A large 300 square foot porch with fans, covered by the camp’s green metal roof, runs the length of the cottage and provides a large space to dine outside with family and friends. In addition, a 10x10 deck overlooks the river and provides additional space for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Also, a floating platform in the river can be pulled to shore and used to fish or swim from. A shed is used to store 2 kayaks and inner tubes as well as other outdoor equipment.
