A ROOM IN A COMMUNAL HOUSE (not renting the whole house and this is NOT an apartment) is available November 20th in a large 1908, well-loved house with beautiful common spaces, near all close-in shopping, lush neighborhoods, coffee, books, MAX to downtown. The house is fully equipped, and could be shot into outer space for months without you feeling a need for more entertainment or essential resources. A lovely garden, shady front porch, laundry, wood fires in the winter and lots of communal soup are among the pleasures offered. And we have neighborhood raccoons. The house is walking distance from Broadway, Lloyd Center, the Blazers...and downtown. What's offered is a cozy nest of a room for $850. Utilities and internet are included. A deposit of one month is required. Rooms are unfurnished, although some furniture is available to borrow. Our community: We are artists of different ages - the youngest being 16. There is presently a good balance between autonomy and connection, no interpersonal complication, and a playful and supportive atmosphere at the house. We support each other's many creative projects. Of course we are looking for a housemate who contributes to communal well-being (no smoking of any kind allowed). Since everyone is busy, we all have lots of solo time in the house. No pets please there are allergy issues. We are "everyone friendly" and a great diversity of people have felt comfortable in this house. We will be happy to hear from you.
