There is even a live theater! An indoor heated swimming pool is newly restored to its 1926 glory. And newly opened is a cinema on weekends. Walk up the hill and see the bay with a three-bridge view encompassing Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco and Marin. This unique village in the East Bay is centrally located and convenient to bay area cities, the wine country, Marin County, and San Francisco. It is the community closest to Chevron, Nutiva, Vertigo Software, Sangamo Bio Sciences, Parker-Hannifin, Black Diamond Video and where the new Lawrence Berkeley National Lab will be built. Pixar,and Industrial Light and Magic, and many others are near, too. Accessible hospitals are Kaiser, Doctor's, Alta Bates and Children's. Contra Costa College, UC Berkeley, and Dominican University are within a 20 minute drive. Travis Air Force Base and Coast Guard stations are in the general vicinity. The cottage has easy access to the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, Hwy 580, 80 and the Richmond Parkway. The Richmond BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station is accessible by bus as is downtown San Rafael. BART connects to many Bay Area cities.
