EDIT: 3/12/24 @ 11:30PM Tonight I sent a lease agreement to Zillow applicants that co-incidentally are friends of a co-worker of mine. They were also the first to contact me with a FULLY completed application. They will read it over the next couple of days (Zillow writes crazy long lease agreements). IF they sign the agreement, they will get the house. IF for some reason they decide not to sign...then the house would probably go to the other person I showed the house to today (FOUR rescued dogs!) My heart goes out to all of you trying to find a landlord willing to rent to people with dogs. Don't give up. Bring pictures of your dogs or even the actual dogs. Tell the homeowner about the dogs. If they don't like dogs, you don't want to rent from them anyway. EDIT: 3/10/24 @ 6PM The response has been overwhelming and I won't be making anymore appointments to show the property unless a Zillow Application has been completed FIRST. I have 3 excellent potential tenants that will be seeing the house this week. IF it doesn't work out for any of them, I will schedule with the next group of people in order of complete application submission. HOUSE DETAILS: Completely gutted to the studs with new electrical, insulation, plumbing, fixtures and stainless steel appliances in 2018. Recessed LED lighting, tankless water heater, new A/C and furnace. 2 car garage and RV parking with 30 Amp 120 Volt shore power. You won't find another house like this easily. House is FURNISHED with decent furniture AND a washer and dryer. Consider these amenities as a bonus, because it will be the tenant's responsibility to maintain the furniture and the washer and dryer. Landlord will maintain the stove, oven, dishwasher, and furnace/AC. No smoking. I am a massive dog lover...so hard for me to exclude a dog from this rental house. I allow a large "house broken" dog because in my experience they are usually more reliable about not peeing in the house. Tenant pays all utilities and maintains the front and backyard. Basically means spraying weedkiller on occasion, since the yard literally has no other maintenance. Artificial grass and crushed pebbles. Looking for a friendly CLEAN tenant that will take care of this beautiful home like it is their own.
